Re your report, "Dad's art of no appeal to
Mosman" (POST, 8/3), I was utterly disgusted by the
attitude of Mosman Park council, which has refused
Francis Farquharson's application to sell paintings
from his home to invited guests.
What this council has done is small-minded and
unfeeling, particularly when you consider Mr
Farquharson's neighbours did not object and a state
government agency had offered to provide public
liability insurance, if required.
People hold garage sales every week - are
these going to be banned next?
Mr Farquharson should be given support, not
denied the opportunity of sharing his talent with
people who are interested in art.
