Paul Anderson aims to include the
community.

The new chief executive at Mosman Park council
says maintaining quality service, being proactive
and making improvements for the benefit of the
community are at the forefront of his new role.
Paul Anderson, who was the council's deputy CEO,
was selected from a group of five last Wednesday at
a special council meeting.
He said his promotion was a logical step forward
in his career and he would continue to maintain
Mosman Park as a leading example of a competent and
well run authority in the western suburbs.
"It's important to maintain the quality of
service that the community has come to expect, to
make improvements for the benefit of the community,
including the level of customer service, council
infrastructure, examining where improvements are
required and continuing to investigate ways for the
community to participate in council events like
Ampfest," he said.
"Trevor Harken, the last CEO, made sure things
happened and I'll look at being more proactive,
especially with the library project and items the
community can participate in."
Mr Anderson has been at Mosman Park for nine
years and said he had qualities, including
integrity, honesty and a good rapport with the
local community, which he believed helped him
secure the position.
His salary package of $146,745 includes $115,000
cash, $13,800 in superannuation, a Ford Fairmont
valued at $16,445, $1200 for a phone and $300 in
professional subscriptions.
Mr Anderson said one of the most significant
issues for Mosman Park would be the new library
shared with Cottesloe and Peppermint Grove..
"This is a significant expenditure council has
embarked upon and we will continue to progress with
this venture, as it is a most significant item," he
said.
